These are complete SketchyMicro and SketchyPharm Anki decks that I made while I was studying for USMLE Step 1 and COMLEX Level 1! I found that Anki was the best way for me to memorize all of the SketchyMedical sketches. I still remember them all and use this knowledge in my clinical rotations. I’m telling you, Anki = long term memory.
If you don’t know what Anki is or how to use it, you can read about it and download the app here.
To read about how I studied for boards and get all my tips & tricks, check out my blog post here.
About these decks
The cards in this deck contain small, cropped portions of the overall sketch – these force you to focus on all of the small details of each sketch.
You must download these decks to your computer, NOT to your phone. You must also have Anki installed on your computer. *The file you will download is a zip file (a compressed file), thus, you will have to open these zip files to see the Anki decks.* Once you download them your computer that has Anki installed, open them. They will open directly into your Anki app. Now that they are on your computer, you can sync your Anki account with your phone so that you can access them on the go.
Notes with the tag “*edited_by_nicolet.life” are cards for which I added my own memory hook. If you do not want to use these, feel free to delete them by sorting your cards by that specific tag, highlighting all the cards under that tag, and simply deleting them.
Text in grey font is supplemental information.
Text in black font is the most important, high yield information.

You have to have the Anki app already downloaded to your computer. Then, download them from the google drive and open them. They should appear in your Anki app.

Any thoughts or resources that you recommend for Sketchy Path? Are you planning on using Sketchy IM?
nicolet.life says
You are very welcome!! Sketchy Path wasn’t out when I studied for Step 1, so I never used it since I learned pathology without it. Since I am done with Step 1 and Step 2, I won’t be going back to use Sketchy Path or Sketchy IM and I haven’t looked for any additional resources for them. Apologies, I wish I could help more! <3 Good luck with your studies!

Thanks so much for this. I’ve been using the micro deck. I noticed on the updated link you posted that Bacteria ch. 10.4 Mycoplasma pneumoniae is not there though, FYI!
nicolet.life says
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll see if I can fix it š
Also, I’m so glad you love the cards!!
LIz says
Were you able to get the 10.4 mycoplasma pneumoniae cards in the deck? I noticed in a recent download that it still was missing
nicolet.life says
Unfortunately it seems they have been lost from the deck, I’m not sure what happened since my original deck. I would have to remake those, which I can definitely put on my to do list but can’t promise them right away. Apologies!

Hey Nicolet! Is your sketchy pharm deck tagged so I can suspend cards by video? Thanks for all your help!
nicolet.life says
I’m not sure what that means, but the cards in my Sketchy Pharm deck only have very simple tags (e.g. pharmacology, CYP450, cardiology_pharm). Does this help? If you explain your problem further I may be able to help, but I don’t know what “suspend cards by video” means haha. Best of lucky studying!
Holly Bell says
For example, if I watched the benzodiazepine sketchy video and only wanted to do the anki cards associated with that video, would there be a way for me to easily find and just review those cards? Thanks for the quick reply!
nicolet.life says
Ah, I get your question now! Haha. If you have downloaded the deck, you will see that the cards are separated by subject. The folders are separated into cardio/renal, antimicrobials, antineoplastics, autonomic drugs, GI/endocrine, neuro/psych, etc. So you can study those folders selectively, but not by specific video. That being said, you can easily edit the deck to your pleasing. You if you wanted to add tags, you could do that for yourself š

nicolet.life says
Yes! You can download them via the link in this post š it will take you to a google drive. Are you having issues? If so, first try downloading to your computer with the Anki application downloaded already. Then, you can sync your Anki account to your phone.
